About Energy-Check

Energy-Check is a practical energy consulting firm serving the large-scale business market.
We assist clients with energy procurement, contract management, energy conservation, laws and regulations, and grid congestion. Energy-Check’s core values are: a personalized approach, direct communication, and a focus on cultural alignment. In addition to working efficiently, we place a strong emphasis on personal development and team building.

Job Description

As an Energy Data Specialist, you’ll help our customers use energy more efficiently. Your work always starts with data analysis. You’ll analyze electricity, gas, and heat data to identify consumption patterns, peak loads, energy waste, and grid congestion risks.

You then translate these analyses into practical improvement measures. This doesn’t mean you’ll just be sitting at your desk: you’ll consult with customers and external parties to ensure that solutions are actually implemented. This includes coordinating with the customer, the in-house installer, the grid operator, and/or the metering service.

Our approach is pragmatic: no lengthy reports that end up gathering dust in a drawer, but concrete improvements that can be implemented right away.

A selection of your responsibilities:

  • Analyzing customers’ electricity, gas, and heating data
  • Preparation of energy profiles, consumption analyses, and trend reports
  • Identifying Opportunities for Cost Savings
  • Providing insight into peak loads, power demand trends, and grid congestion risks
  • Support for Flex-E studies and grid congestion studies
  • Providing advice on sustainability, electrification, and expansion plans
  • Consult with clients to translate analyses into concrete actions
  • Coordinate with residential installers, grid operators, and metering services to implement improvements
  • Contributing ideas on solutions such as load balancing, energy storage, flexibility, and smart energy management
  • Developing dashboards, reports, and data-driven customer insights
  • Contribute to further digitization and data-driven service delivery within Energy-Check

What do you bring to the table?

  • HBO or WO level of work and thinking, preferably in the fields of energy engineering, data analysis, industrial engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, or a comparable field
  • An interest in the energy market, sustainability, and/or developments in these areas
  • You work with precision, independently, and with a focus on results
  • Communication Skills
  • Working on a project basis is a plus for you
  • Someone who thinks in terms of possibilities and opportunities
  • Experience in the energy sector is a plus, but we consider motivation and a willingness to learn to be more important
  • Preferably living within a 30-minute commute of our office in Roosendaal or Zwolle

What do we offer you?

  • A challenging and varied role within a rapidly changing energy market
  • Working on current issues such as grid congestion, electrification, and sustainability
  • Plenty of room for personal initiative and growth
  • Competitive salary and excellent benefits
  • Flexible work hours and hybrid work options available
  • Informal work environment with short lines of communication
  • Friendly coworkers and opportunities for personal growth
