Job Description

As a Senior Energy Conservation Consultant, you will serve as the point of contact for complex issues related to energy efficiency, energy legislation, and current challenges (grid congestion, gas-free solutions, waste heat recovery, and battery solutions). You will conduct audits, serve as an interim project manager for our clients on complex issues, develop strategic energy-saving plans, and guide clients through the implementation of sustainability measures.

What are you going to do?

  • Conducting energy-saving assessments (including the Energy Performance Certificate (EED), mandatory energy audits, and customized recommendations).
  • Identifying and developing solutions to grid congestion challenges (based on an assessment, analysis of energy consumption data, and innovations)
  • Managing projects in the areas of congestion solutions, batteries, renovation and new construction, etc.
  • Assessing the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) performance of organizations.
  • Assisting customers with the implementation of energy-saving measures, grid congestion solutions, and CO2 reduction initiatives.
  • Provide advice on grant opportunities, upcoming legislation, and sustainable technologies.
  • Advising existing and new clients on the implementation of ISO 50001 and/or ISO 14001 (new legislation effective October 2027)
  • Identifying market opportunities and contributing to product development.

What do you bring to the table?

  • A completed associate’s or bachelor’s degree, preferably in (installation) engineering, energy, sustainability, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience as a consultant in the field of energy or sustainability.
  • Knowledge of energy-related laws and regulations (EED, Obligation to Investigate, etc.).
  • Experience in preparing energy recommendations, audits, or customized reports.
  • Experience coordinating with the grid operator and suppliers of products (batteries, thermal energy storage systems, EMS systems).
  • Experience with implementing and/or auditing ISO 50001 and/or ISO 14001 is a plus
  • Good communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
  • Independent, results-oriented, and analytically strong.
  • Preferably living within a 30-minute commute of our office in Roosendaal or Zwolle
  • Willing to travel to clients throughout the Netherlands approximately 2 days a week for site visits and client meetings
